The Tongariro Crossing & Heli-Bike package includes a scenic flight over some of the Central North Island's most iconic landscapes before landing at the start of the Kaimanawa Descent.
Fly over the Tama Lakes, Mt Ngauruhoe (Mt Doom) and Mt Tongariro, taking in views across the volcanic plateau, Lake Taupō Basin and the Kaimanawa Ranges. From there, land at Patutu Tops and begin your ride down the Kaimanawa Descent, starting high in the alpine environment before descending through native beech forest to the valley floor.
